Sonnenschutz mit Colmuspro
Steuern Sie Markisen und Jalousien einfach per Software und Hardware
Shading Control with Colmuspro
Control awnings and blinds easily using software and hardware
Hardware Used
A CONTROLLINO MINI® is used — a freely programmable, Arduino®‑compatible PLC controller.
A Raspberry Pi 5 serves as the central unit, handling both the control logic and the web server.
A Modbus weather station records meteorological data such as outdoor temperature, wind speed, and humidity. A rain sensor is also used. Communication takes place via serial interfaces (RS485 and RS232).
For manual operation, a wireless transmitter and an in‑wall wireless switch are employed.

Bill of Materials
1× wireless handheld transmitter
1× 12 V DC / 1.5 A DIN‑rail power supply
4× relay socket type 95.65
4× relay type 40.52, 230 V AC
1× distribution box with DIN rail, approx. 30 × 30 × 15 cm
1× Raspberry Pi 5 B, 4 GB, 4 × 1.5 GHz
1× Raspberry Pi® power supply
1× SDXC card, 16 GB, Class 10
1× Modbus weather station
1× Modbus rain sensor
2× LED signal lights, 5 mm, yellow, 24 V DC
1× USB‑to‑RS485 adapter
2× in‑wall wireless switches
Software
The software is based on Node‑RED running on the Raspberry Pi, along with the Arduino IDE. The Controllino Mini® operates as a Modbus RTU slave, while the control logic is implemented on the Raspberry Pi using Node‑RED.

Overview
Display of the current time and date, as well as sunrise and sunset times. These are retrieved via an API, for which the geographic coordinates of the installation site must be provided. Meteorological data such as outdoor temperature, humidity, and wind speed are also shown.

Blinds and Awning
During initial setup, all parameters must be entered first.
Rain Protection
Display of the current time and date, as well as sunrise and sunset times. These values are retrieved via an API, for which the location coordinates must be provided. In addition, meteorological data such as outdoor temperature, humidity, and wind speed are shown.
Wind Protection
Here too, the protection function can be activated or deactivated. If a defined wind‑speed threshold is exceeded, the awning and blinds automatically move to their safety position.
Sun Position
Display of the current time as well as sunrise and sunset times for orientation and automated control.
Time Program
A switchable time program that combines fixed switching times with sun‑position functions. This enables fully automated operation of the awning and blinds.

System
Section for displaying system information as well as testing and debugging the programming.

Recommendation
Depending on the components used or already available, both the wiring and the programming can be adapted accordingly. It is recommended to use an automation controller instead of the Controllino Mini, provided it supports the Modbus protocol. The advantage is that the entire control logic can then be implemented directly on the Raspberry Pi using Node‑RED.
